This Is SOO Why I Need A Sense of Smell

Warm Tuna Casserole
Let me tell you a story about this picture.

Last night [Wednesday night] was pizza night. When we came home, the LOML moved this container of tuna casserole to make room for the pizza box, put the pizza box on the shelf where the tuna casserole once lived alone, and then put the tuna casserole back on top of the pizza box.

Jake, however, didn’t like this living arrangement for the pizza. He didn’t “want it to get smushed.” So, he decided — after the LOML and I left the room — to take the tuna casserole off of the pizza box. And put it in the pantry. Last night. At 8:00pm.

So, this container of tuna casserole has been living in my pantry — refrigeration free — for 24 hours.

Jake’s defense? “Sorry about that mom. There wasn’t any more room in the fridge.”

Hey, one time we came home from the grocery, put everything away and went to bed. The next morning, we found a whole bag of packages of meat on the counter, room-temperature, that each of us had thought the OTHER had put away the night before. Very embarrassing. And expensive. Sigh.

Oh, MAN!! I thought we had it bad when we came home to find the freezer door open (was open all day) and had to cook $450 of meat in one night. At least we got to eat it!

OMG! Your son is so cute! I love that story! By the way, you stopped by for a visit, but didn’t tell me if you saw the ghost in my picture, or if you thought I was just crazy? or both? I didn’t put in the story that when she was 2 we would drive past cemeteries and she would ask me about all the people in the stones. The hair used to stand right up on my arms when she would say it. Creepy. I don’t want to be the mom of the ghost whisperer!

Have a great weekend! Sorry to hear about your forehead hickey!
